However, since an MBA is a postgraduate degree rather than a diploma like a PGDM course, many industries, including government employment, management professors, and higher education in the management field, favor applicants with an MBA. Whether an MBA or PGDM is more valuable depends on the programs that are valued in their respective industries. While PGDM is more accepted in private sector companies only, MBA is more accepted in prestigious corporate companies, government job roles, and academia.
